Ready for Christmas and remembering one of the best in Mexico.

I heard on the radio today Feb.8,2012, that it was not safe for Americans in Mexico.  Except in some well protected Resorts.  How sad that is a factor today.  Ron and I spent six months in Mexico traveling in an old Dodge Van and cruising on various boats with friends from our Yacht Club in the late 80’s.  We felt safe and only felt in danger when we went to San Blas, where we decided many of the burned out drug laden hippys from Berkeley ended up. We felt so threatened from these thieves that we parked in the Federalizes’ parking lot that night.  This fear was of our own country men.  Never of the Mexicans.  Who went out of their way to be accommodating and sometimes protective of us.
